Data acquisition has been used in professional racing for years. As the technology improved and costs have declined, it is now becoming more popular at the Club Racing level and for Drivers Ed events. Data acquisition allows the end user to quantify what they feel in the car and facilitate development of both the car and driver. An entry level system using shock travel, steering angle, and accelerometer sensors, can provide the driver and tuner with enough information to dramatically improve driving performance. This acquired data aids with suspension changes, which will greatly improve vehicle response and reduce lap times. Musante Motorsports' expertise includes installation of MoTeC and AIM systems.
